New Delhi [India]: President Ram Nath Kovind congratulated ace Indian shuttler PV Sindhu after she clinched the Singapore Open 2022 title on Sunday.

Indian ace shuttler as well as Olympic medalist PV Sindhu secured the Singapore Open 2022 title after beating China’s Wang Zhiyi in the final of the ladies’s singles group.

Playing on court 1, Sindhu won the summit clash by 21-9, 11-21, 21-15. She was off to a great begin, winning the very first video game by a thumping margin. Zhiyi recovered in a similar fashion in the next video game, winning it by 11-21. In the decider video game, the top Indian shuttler preserved her composure to win it 21-15 as well as win the title.

PV Sindhu progressed to the top clash of the females’s singles category of the Singapore Open 2022 by beating Japan’s Saena Kawakami in the semifinals below in Singapore on Saturday.

Sindhu went to her most leading in the game, as she prevented the Japanese difficulty within two straight games 15-21, 7-21. The match lasted for 58 mins.

This is Sindhu’s 3rd title of 2022. In January this year, Sindhu won the ladies’s singles title at the Syed Modi International tournament.

Fighting it out at court 1, the double Olympic medallist Indian Sindhu beat Busanan Ongbamrungphan of Thailand by 21-16, 21-8 in 49 minutes.
