Health and Medical Education Minister Dr K Sudhakar on Saturday said that the government has an objective to build medical colleges on the PPP model in nine districts across Karnataka.
Davanagere : Speaking to the media after visiting the new medical college building here he said there was a debate on building a hospital on the PPP model and the same would be built in nine districts. ”There is no college at Taluk level and the matter has been requested and will be considered,” he said.
Stating that two and a half crore vaccines have been administered so far in the state and more supply is expected from the centre in the coming days, he said.
If there are four acres available in Davanagere city, Jayadeva Cardiology Institute could be built and he requested to allocate space for it. ”The state government is upgrading 250 primary health centres. 2,500 centres in the state would be upgraded in five years,” he added.
