Nagaland records 49 new COVID positive cases

Kohima, Aug 26: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland increased to 49 new cases, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases rose to 29, 718 and with one more death, the toll remained at 612.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 49 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from seven districts of Nagaland with 24 cases in Dimapur, 11 cases in Mokokchung, nine in Kohima, two in Longleng, one in Mon, one in Wokha and one in Zunheboto, taking the total caseload to 29718. A total of 49 cases were detected out of 2,423 tested positive for COVID-19 in Nagaland on August 25, indicating a sample positivity rate of 2.02%.

On the recovery of COVID-19 patients in the State, A total of 62 new recoveries were reported throughout the state, 24 recoveries from Dimapur, 11 from Mokokchung, nine from Kohima, two from Longleng, one from Mon, one from Wokha and one from Zunheboto, which rose to the total recovery tally to 27,373, with a recovery rate of 92.05%.

Nagaland yesterday had 871 active patients, out of which, 65 are admitted in COVID hospitals and 653 are under home isolation. Out of total of 871 active cases, of them 692 active cases are asymptomatic, 143 are mild symptomatic, 13 are moderate on oxygen, nine are severe on oxygen, four are in ICU without ventilator and 10 patients are admitted in ICUs on ventilators, the bulletin said. With one more death reported from Peren, the death toll rose to 612, the bulletin informed.
