Masala Soda Recipe

Ingredients
For Masala
1 tbsp Dry Mango powder,
½ tbsp Black salt,
A pinch of asafoetida,
1 tbsp Cumin seeds,
1 tsp Fennel seeds,
Few Black peppercorns,
Salt to taste,
¼ cup Sugar,

For Jaljeera
½ inch Ginger, slice,
¾ cup Coriander leaves,
1 cup Mint leaves,
Water,
2 heaped tbsp Prepared Masala,
1 Lime juice,

For Masala Soda
Fresh Mint leaves,
½ Lime juice,
1 heaped tbsp Prepared Masala,
Soda,
1 tsp Basil seeds,

Other Ingredients
Few Boondi,
Few Ice cubes,

Process
For Masala
In a bowl, add dry mango powder, black salt, asafoetida.
In a pan, add cumin seeds, fennel seeds, black peppercorns dry roast on medium flame.
Transfer this into a bowl, add salt to taste and sugar.
Transfer this into a grinder jar and grind it into a fine powder.
Keep in an airtight container for further use.

For Jaljeera
In a bowl, ginger, coriander leaves, mint leaves transfer this into a grinder jar and grind it into a smooth paste.
Transfer this paste into a large bowl, add water, lime juice, prepared masala and stir well.
Pour into a glass served with few ice cubes and garnished with boondi.
Served chilled.

For Masala Soda
In a serving glass, add some mint leaves, prepared masala and a few ice cubes.
Just before serving, pour the soda over it, garnish it with soaked basil seeds.
Served chilled.
