Malayalam Actor Bala Hospitalized, To Undergo Liver Transplant

Actor Bala, who performs personal roles in Malayalam movies, become hospitalized on Tuesday in Kochi due to a liver-related illness. As per reviews, Bala had visited the clinic every week to seek advice from the doctors, and he was cautioned to go through a liver transplant.

Bala is the brother of famous Tamil filmmaker Siva, working on a but-untitled Tamil film with Suriya. Siva is expected to attend the health center afterward Tuesday to be together with his brother’s circle of relatives.

Producer N.M Badusha took to his Facebook page and shared an update. He wrote in Malayalam, “Unni Mukundan, me, Vishnu Mohan, Swaraj, and Vipin came to Amrita hospital today and visited actor Bala. Bala has spoken to everyone. There are no other issues currently. The doctor will inform me with more details later.”

Bala remained seen in the movie Shefeekkinte Santhosham, which Anup Pandalam directed. The film, released last year, featured Bala in the role of a character named Ameer. The film, written by Anup Pandalam himself, had Unni Mukundan in a significant lead role.
