The legendary singer K. J. Yesudas completes 60 golden years in the music industry. From ‘Jaathi Bhedam Matha Dwesham’ song in 1962, to over 80,000 songs recorded in languages ranging from Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and even Latin and Arabic languages, the ‘Celestial singer’ KJ Yesudas has been infusing mood and a touch of emotion among the music buffs with his godly voice.
Today as he reaches 60 years in his singing career, M-town celebrities are showering the legendary singer with love. Recently, Mohanlal took to his social media handles and shared an update regarding the release of a musical tribute video for the legendary singer and also penned a heartfelt note which reads as ‘A humble tribute I present to our dear Dasettan the living legend, as he crosses 60 golden years of singing in the music industry! The musical tribute video which was released on Mohanlal’s Facebook page is a compilation of all the songs sung by Yesudas in Mohanlal’s films from ‘Thiranottam to ’Villain’.
The tribute video was titled ‘ Kalpadukal’ and Mohanlal lends his voice in the tribute video to Dasettan’s songs. Alongside the video, Mohanlal penned a note that read:’ Here goes ‘Kalpadukal’ along with my most sincere wishes on this continued legendary journey of yours, dear Dasetta!’
Actress Manju Warrier also took to her Instagram handle and shared a post wishing the legendary singer on completing 60 golden years in his singing career.The note which she penned alongside the post read:’ It’s been 60 years since we started hearing the word ‘Yesudas singing’… Dasettan is a music box hidden somewhere in our ears. And the music box starts playing whenever we feel moody or happy. I wish ‘Dasettan’ to have all the blessings and keep on touching our hearts with your soulful voice’.
Actor Manoj K Jayan also wished the legendary singer and shared a post on his Instagram handle saying:’ Praying to god that we may enjoy the sweetness of this precious voice for countless years to come…Heartfelt wishes Dasetta….’
