Kannada film Krishna Talkies, which was withdrawn from cinema halls within a few days of release, will be re-released on August 27. The project, directed by Vijayanand with Krishna Ajai Rao and Apoorva in lead roles, originally released on April 16 and received positive response from audiences and critics.
Krishna Talkies, which is a horror thriller, is set in a village in Karnataka. Protagonist Ajai visits his native to spend a few days with his friend Suri, who dies mysteriously and becomes the talk of the town. Another incident of a girl called Parimal who goes missing sets the tone for the story. As the title suggests, Krishna Talkies, is set against the backdrop of a cinema hall. The gripping element in the story keeps viewers engaged.
The movie saw Ajai Rao and Apoorva sharing screen space for the first time. The project also has Sindhu Lokanath, Chikkanna, Shobraj and Pramod Shetty in significant roles. Sridhar V Sambhram has composed the music, Abhishek Kasaragod is the cinematographer and Srikanth is the editor.
