Malayalam actor Kozhikode Sharada passed away. She was 84. She passed away on Tuesday morning (November 9) at Kozhikode Medical College, where she was undergoing treatment for the cardiac ailment. Sharada was reportedly admitted to the hospital on Monday after experiencing breathing difficulties, however, passed away on Tuesday morning following a cardiac arrest.
A native of Velliparamba, Kozhikode, Sharada started her acting career as a theatre actor. Her first stint in movies was in the 1979 film ‘Angakkuri’.
During the mid-1980s, she has acted in IV Sasi’s films ‘Anubhandham’, ‘Naalkkavala’, ‘Anyarude Bhoomi’ among others. She has been part of over 80 incredible films including ‘Utsava Pittennu’, ‘Sadhayam’, ‘Sallapam’, ‘Kilichundan Mampazham’, ‘Ammalilikoodu’, ‘Nandanam’, ‘Yugapurushan’, ‘Kutty Sranku’ and ‘Ennu Ninte Moidheen’ among others.
Her character in ‘Sallapam’ was one of the memorable roles. Kozhikode Sharada has also acted in television soaps and is a popular face amongst the tv audience.
Kozhikode Sharada is survived by her children, Umada, Sajeev, Rajitha, and Sreejith.
