Kangana Ranaut took to her Instagram story to address ‘a huge backlog of films to be released in theatres.’
Taking a dig at the Maharashtra government for not opening the theatres for the public owing to safety amid the COVID outbreak, the actress wrote, “Meanwhile Maharashtra government will keep theatres shut till film industry’s theatre’s culture completely disappears…”
She further added, “There is a huge backlog of films to be released in theatres but complete lack of concern and strategy to bring producers, artists, distributors and theatres owners out of this plight can be seen in current state government’s indifferent attitude towards the film industry yet Bollywood decides to silently suffer but not question world’s best CM…”
Previously, the actress has requested Maharashtra government to open theatres in the state ahead of her big biopic ‘Thalaivii’ big release. Expressing that COVID cases are decreasing, the actress said, “Cases in Maharashtra have decline. Requesting Maharashtra Government to #OpenUpCinemas in Maharashtra and save the dying film industry and theatres business.”
Kangana is one of the celebs who have multiple projects lined up in her kitty. Apart from ‘Thalaivii’, she will be seen in an action entertainer ‘Dhaakad’.
