Kalyan Singh’s condition critical: Yogi rushes to see him at SGPGIMS

Lucknow, Aug 21: The health of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh who is undergoing treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS ) turned very critical on Saturday.

According to the doctors attending him his BP has gone out of control and his other body parameters are not functioning well either. He was also given dialysis on Saturday evening.

On receiving this information UP Cheif Minister Yogi Adityanath reached SGPGI to see the former CM. He inquired about his health from Director Dr RK Dhiman and other doctors.

State Medical Education Minister Suresh Khanna was also present along with CM Yogi. The Chief Minister also spoke to the family members of Kalyan Singh and wished the former CM a healthy and long life.

Yogi Adityanath had visited Kalyan Singh on Friday too.

SGPGI Director Dr R K Dhiman said that for the past several days, Mr Kalyan Singh’s health has remained critical. Doctors are keeping a close watch over his health.

The doctors said that the former CM is unable to take oxygen by himself. Due to this, their lungs and blood are not getting enough oxygen supply, leading to increased pressure on the lungs, heart, kidney, liver. It is also affecting the functioning of his brain, due to which on Tuesday night doctors started giving oxygen to the lungs by inserting a tube in his throat.

Kalyan Singh was admitted to SGPGIMS on July 4 last.
