Washington [US]: American singer-songwriter and actor Joe Jonas recently discovered that he auditioned for the lead position in 2012’s Marc Webb directorial ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, which in the long run starred Andrew Garfield.
According to People magazine, throughout a new episode of the ‘Just for Variety’ podcast, whilst speaking approximately a position that he felt bad for now not getting, Joe made this revelation. He said, “I can name probable a pair. In the instant, you’re destroyed or you’re defeated. But you recognize this individual was outstanding. I consider years in the past I was up for Spider-Man and I become so, so excited and it was the year Andrew Garfield were given it.”
“Obviously, he was the right one. But I do not forget that was a large thing at the time, going again for callbacks, and the director was once a tune video director. So I was like, “I got an in right here.” But you already know what? I love the procedure of auditioning and placing yourself out there and having to prove yourself,” Joe added all through the ‘Just for Variety’ podcast.
On being requested whether he ever wore the Spider-Man gown in the course of the audition manner, Joe spoke back, “No, but I’m sure I had one that I would try on occasionally back in the day.”
Back in 2010, when Joe had been puzzled if he’d be interested in gambling Spider-Man, as casting was underway at the time, he had generally dodged the question, pronounced People magazine.
As for Garfield, who did get the position in ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, also starred in its sequel. He then reprised his position in 2021’s ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’, which starred Tom Holland, alongside the first ‘Spider-Man’ famous person Tobey Maguire.
