Washington [US]: Jim Stewart, who established the Stax Records label and created some of the finest soul facts of the 1960s, passed away on Monday at 92.

In 1957, Stewart and Al Bell co-based the renowned Black music label with headquarters in Memphis, which they later operated till the early Seventies, while Stewart offered his percentage of the business enterprise.
