One of the most eagerly awaited films is late Puneeth Rajkumar starrer ‘James’. The film, which is directed by Chethan Kumar of Bharjari and Bahaddur fame, is one of the last films that the actor shot for before his untimely demise. The film sees him play the role of an army officer for the first time in his career.
The team released the poster of his look as an army officer as a special treat for fans on Republic Day, much to the excitement of everyone and the poster has since gone viral. The poster was revealed by Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar on her social media pages, following which a lot of Kannada actors and stars shared the same, wishing the team luck.
Director Chethan is extremely emotional about this special day and he says that this poster will be the first step towards their promotional activities. “It was a specific reason that we chose Republic Day to reveal this look, as it shows Puneeth sir in the army uniform. This is also going to mark our step towards sharing more details and material from the film for fans,” reveals Chethan, who adds that it has been an emotional journey for his team and him as they wrapped up shooting for the film last week.
The film has Priya Anand paired alongside him for the second time after Raajakumara. The team also roped in Shivarajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar to essay special cameos in the film to add more value to the last film release of the actor.
