Sonakshi Sinha recently took to her Instagram handle to inform her fans that she wrapped the horror-comedy film ‘Kakuda’. The actress revealed that this is her first horror-comedy film.
Sonakshi posted a picture with the team and penned a heartfelt note. The post was captioned as, ”Aaaand its a wrap on #Kakuda! My first horror comedy and What a ride its been… beating covid, beating the rains, hectic night shifts, a roller coaster really… but what’s important is those smiles on our faces! Thank you to the entire team (a lot of them missing from this picture) for being absolute troopers! See you at the movies ????”.
The film went on the floors on July 20. It marks the Hindi directorial debut of Aditya Sarpotdar, the man behind critically acclaimed Marathi films like – ‘Classmates’, ‘Mauli’ and ‘Faster Fene’. The film will be released digitally in 2022. The makers are yet to announce a streaming platform for the film.
Apart from Sonakshi, the film also stars Riteish Deshmukh and Saqib Saleem. In an interaction with PTI, Riteish said, ”I can’t wait to jump right in and work on the film with Sonakshi and Saqib. I personally love the horror-comedy genre and ‘Kakuda’ is a great opportunity for me to explore the part of a ghostbuster”.
