New Delhi: The Indian hockey teams continued their upward trend in 2022, with the women’s side somewhat surpassing their male counterparts by clinching a Republic Games medal– a bronze after 16 years.
In Birmingham, both the Indian men and women groups picked up their 3rd CWG medals.
While the men’s team won silver, the ladies got a podium finish after 16 lengthy years. The Indian women had won gold at the Manchester CWG in 2002 as well as silver at Melbourne 4 years later.
