  • 2 tbsp. Shea butter

  • 10 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 1 vitamin E capsule
  • 1 tsp. Cocoa powder

  1. Add the shea butter and beeswax or organic coconut oil (vegan alternative) to a pan and melt it on low heat. You can even sue a double boiler for this so that the ingredients don’t get burnt.
  2. Once melted, take it off the heat and add one vitamin E capsule and stir well.
  3. Next, add a tespoon of peppermint essential oil and stir.
  4. Now, slowly add your mica pigment powder in preferrably red or pink to the mixture.
  5. Add cocoa powder to intensify the colour, if required.
  6. Transfer this mixture to a recycled clean, swirl up lip balm cylindrical tube.
  7. Let it harden in the recycle tube.
  8. Swipe it on whenever you desire smooth, shiny and soft lips.

Tip: Make use of your almost finished lipstick bullets by melting and mixing the remnants of your favourite lipstick into this lip balm base. You can then enjoy a new nourishing lipstick.
