Haryana govt starts Har-Hith Store Yojana to make youth self-reliant

Chandigarh, Aug 7: With the objective to ensure that every youth of the state in the age group of 21 to 35 years is employed, the state government aims to make Haryana ‘Berozgar Mukt- Rozgar Yukt’ by the year 2024 for which the government is moving in the direction of creating more and more employment opportunities for the youth.
Working in this direction, the State Government has recently started the unique “Har-Hith Store Yojana” through Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited to give new business opportunities to the youth and make them self-reliant. Har-Hith will revive the retail sector and directly and indirectly uplift the economy of Haryana.
Giving this information on Saturday, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited Managing Director Rohit Yadav said that these stores will play a vital role not only in enhancing the manufacturing capabilities of Micro Small Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), but also in providing market access for Government Co-operative Societies. It will prove to be a game-changer. With the opening of these stores, the state government’s model of turning the youth from job seekers to job creators will also be fulfilled.
He said that a target has been set to open 5000 stores under this scheme. In the first phase, 2000 stores will be opened, out of which 1500 stores will be opened in rural areas and 500 in urban areas. The government has set a target of opening 100 stores by October 2, Gandhi Jayanti. The sale of best quality daily necessities products will be promoted through these stores and will ensure access to the customers at reasonable prices.
HAICL will allot a retail outlet on 200 square feet in a village with a population of 3000 or more. The Municipal Committee shall allot one retail outlet in the council to such wards/groups having a cumulative population of 10,000.
Under this scheme, Haryana Government will provide a platform to youth franchisees as well as MSMEs, government cooperatives, FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), and Self Help Groups (SHGs) to increase their business.
Under Parivar Pehchan Patra, the youth of those families whose verified annual income is less than Rs 1.80 lakh, will also be given priority in this Har-Hith Store Yojana. If the youth of these families show interest to open Har-Hith store the state government will also give guarantee to these youths to ensure an income of minimum Rs 15,000 every month.
