Dileep played the titular Madhavan, who is a petty thief and Kavya Madhavan played his childhood friend Rukmini. ‘Meesa Madhavan’ utilized the chemistry between both of them. This time Dileep and Kavya Madhavan didn’t rope into the shoes of lovers, but a married couple. Directed by Akku Akbar, the film revolved around Sadanandan, a school teacher, who is superstitious and does everything according to astrology. The family drama won hearts as Sadanandan and Suma’s (Kavya Madhavan) relationship was impressive. The film was released in 2003 and it won the hearts of cinephiles for all the right reasons.

Pinneyum

Veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan chose to cast Dileep and Kavya Madhavan in his 2016 film ‘Pinneyum’. They married for real a couple of months after the release. The film told the story of a couple, who has a daughter and is under financial constraints. The love story not only caught the attention of cinephiles but also impressed critics. ‘Pinneyum’ also marks their most recent film together.
