Panaji, Aug 16: Goa reported 62 new cases of Covid 19 and five deaths during the last 24 hours. According to a daily bulletin issued by the Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the new cases, the number of total confirmed cases in the state increased to 1,72,568 while the number of total deaths remained at 3176. There were 96 recoveries during the last 24 hours which took the number of total recoveries in the state to 1,68,519. Recovery rate in the state stood at 97.65 per cent. On Monday, 55 patients were sent for home isolation, seven were admitted to hospitals while four were discharged. As many as 4225 new samples were tested on Monday taking the number of total samples tested so far to 11,32,949. The number of active cases in the state stood at 873.
