Tokyo [Japan]: Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe broke down in the western Japan city of Nara on Friday after being struck by an unknown guy and also gunshots were heard around, neighborhood media reported including that cops has seized the opponent.

Abe was assaulted by a guy from behind while he was making a stump speech on a road in Nara. Police has confiscated the man that struck Abe at around 11.30 am, The Japan Times reported.
