Ingredients
For Dough
3 medium Potatoes, boiled & mashed ,
1-2 tbsp Vrat Ka Atta ,
(Sama chawal flour, sabudana flour, kuttu flour or mix of this can be used as Vrat Ka Atta)
Sendha namak to taste ,
For Filling
8-10 Cashew nuts, chopped ,
1 heaped tbsp Peanut,
⅓ cup Coconut, grated ,
Sendha namak to taste ,
½ tsp Sugar ,
1-2 fresh Green chillies, chopped ,
Other Ingredients
½ cup Desiccated coconut, for coating ,
Ghee for frying ,
Process
For Dough
In a bowl add mashed potatoes, vrat ka atta, sendha namak and knead it properly until everything comes together into a smooth dough like ball.
Keep aside for further use.
For Filling
In a bowl add chopped cashew nuts, peanuts, grated coconut, sendha namak, sugar, green chillies and mix everything properly, keep aside for further use.
For Assembling Vrat Ka Pattice
Take a portion of the potato dough and spread in your hands and then add a heaped spoonful of the filling in the centre and close it up.
Now give it a proper tikki shape then roll in the desiccated coconut properly, then repeat this process with the rest of the dough.
To fry the pattice, heat ghee in a pan and place the prepared pattice and fry them until golden brown and crispy from both sides on medium heat.
Remove and serve with some curd or vrat ki chutney.
