Ex Minister Mahadev Naik joins AAP

Panaji, Aug 6: Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Industries Minister Mahadev Naik joined Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in New Delhi on Friday.

Mr Naik joined AAP in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Power Minister Satyender Jain, AAP leader Atishi, among others.

Mr Naik, a two time MLA, is another important leader to join the party recently. Early this year, Goa Mahila Congress President Pratima Cutinho had joined AAP.

Welcoming Mr Naik into the party, Goa AAP Convenor Rahul Mhambre said,’ Warm welcome to Shri Mahadev Naik, former minister in BJP Govt and ex MLA of Shiroda to AAP. His joining the party will further strengthen AAP’s resolve to serve the people of Goa.’

In 2019, Mr Naik had joined Congress after quitting BJP. Mr Naik had served as a minister in the cabinet of Manohar Parrikar and Laxmikant Parsekar.
