    Mohanlal- Vysakh film ‘Monster’ is one of the highly anticipated ventures to happen this year and recently the makers have announced the shooting wrap-up of the film. The ‘Monster’ team shared a picture from the set announcing the 55 days shoot wrap-up of the Mohanlal starrer ‘Monster’. The assistant editor Shafeeque Vb, took to his official Instagram handle to share a picture from the sets of ‘Monster’. Sharing the pictures, Shafeeque penned a note that read, “Glorious 55 days of shoot with Lalettan, Thank you Vysakh sir. The script for the film ‘Monster’ is written by Uday Krishna who is best known for the films ‘Dosth’, ‘Runway’, ‘Mayamohini’, ‘Kammath & Kammath’, and ‘Pulimurugan’. The upcoming film ‘Monster’ has a battalion of actors that include Mohanlal, Lakshmi Manchu, Honey Rose, and Sudev Nair. Superstar Mohanlal will be playing a character named Lucky Singh in the film ‘Monster’. Previously a first look poster for the film, featuring Mohanlal as Lucky Singh was unveiled by the makers.
  • Dulquer Salmaan Tests Covid-19 Positive
    Actor Dulquer Salmaan on Thursday (January 20) said that he has tested positive for coronavirus with mild symptoms. The 35-year-old actor’s diagnosis comes days after his superstar father Mammootty also tested positive for COVID-19. Dulquer Salmaan posted a brief statement on his official social media handles to share the news and said that he has started isolating at his residence. “I have just tested positive for Covid19. I’m isolating at home and have mild flu symptoms but (I) am otherwise ok. People who were in close contact with me during the shoots over the last few days, please isolate and test if you notice symptoms (sic),” the Kurup star wrote. Mammootty shared the news of his Covid-19 diagnosis on January 16, saying that he contracted the virus despite taking precautions. On Thursday, India logged 3,17,532 new coronavirus infections, taking the total tally of COVID-19 cases to 3,82,18,773, which includes 9,287 cases of the Omicron variant, according to the Union Health Ministry data.
  • Anna Ben Tests Covid-19 Positive
    Actress Anna Ben has tested positive for Covid- 19. The ‘Helen’ actress took to her official Instagram handle mentioning that she got tested positive for Covid and is having all of the symptoms except the loss of smell. The actress also advised those persons who have come in contact with her to get tested. “Tested positive for Covid with all the symptoms except the loss of smell. Whoever came in contact with me please get tested and I hope you are safe. In-home quarantine at the moment.”, reads her Instagram story post. The actress also attached a funny P.S note saying that she dodged getting Covid for two years but finally it got her. Meanwhile, Anna Ben’s upcoming Tovino Thomas starrer film ‘Naaradan’, which was scheduled as a theatrical release on January 27th, 2022, was postponed due to the surge in Covid- 19 cases. Seems like the new wave of Covid is really affecting the film industry as most of the highly anticipated movies which were billed as theatrical releases got rescheduled and the superstars Mammootty, Suresh Gopi, and the legendary director Priyadarshan contracted with Covid -19.

    The renowned Malayalam music director- lyricist Alleppey Ranganath passes away at the age of 73 on Sunday night. He was undergoing treatment at Kottayam Medical College as he was tested positive for Covid- 19 and had respiratory issues. Having composed over 2000 songs in both Malayalam and Tamil, including devotional songs, he bagged this year’s ‘Harivarasanam award’. Ranganath also has learned classical music and Bharatanatyam and his wife B Rajasri is a classical dancer and teacher. Alleppey Ranganath made his debut as the music director for the film ‘Jesus’ which was released in the year 1973 and was directed by P.A Thomas. Ranganath composed the song ‘Gaagulthaa Malakale’ in the movie ‘Jesus’.   • Megastar Mammootty Tests COVID-19 Positive
    Megastar Mammootty has reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. According to the reports, the superstar experienced a few symptoms, including a mild cold and sore throat on Saturday (Jan 15) evening and took a Covid test and the results came back positive. The 70-year-old actor is reportedly in good health, and is in home isolation, since he has no other complications. More details regarding the same are awaited. Mammootty was filming for his ambitious upcoming project tentatively titled ‘CBI 5’ in Kochi.   • Dulquer Salmaan’s ‘Salute’ Release Date Postponed
    Dulquer Salmaan-starrer Salute, which was scheduled to hit the theatres on January 14, has been postponed. The decision was made in view of the increasing number of Covid-19 and Omicron cases across India. Salute is directed by Rosshan Andrrews and marks Diana Penty’s Malayalam debut. The trailer of Salute showed Dulquer Salmaan trying to solve a crime as SI Aravind Karunakaran. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the film, but they have to wait a little longer.   • Kerala Police Registers Fresh Case Against Actor Dileep
    The Crime Branch wing of Kerala police on Sunday registered a case against actor Dileep and five others for allegedly threatening investigation officers in the sexual assault case of an actress in which he is also an accused. The Crime Branch registered the case on a complaint filed by an investigating officer based on a purported audio clip of Dileep, which was released by a TV channel recently in which the actor was heard conspiring to attack the officials. Sources also said that director Balachandra Kumar, who had recently made some startling revelations against Dileep in the actress assault case through media, had also given some corroborative statements to the Crime Branch. The actor and five others were booked under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code, including Sections 116 (abetment), 118 (concealing design to commit offense), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 (criminal act done by several people). While five people including Dileep, two of his relatives and two others were named in the FIR, the sixth accused has been mentioned as an “identifiable person”.
