Aurangabad/Mumbai: Maharashtra Industry Minister Subhash Desai on Tuesday inaugurated the country’s largest electric vehicle charging station at Turbhe in Navi Mumbai. Due to skyrocketing fuel prices day by day, the common man was suffering and hence, the government had decided to promote electric vehicles as an alternative to this, he stated in an official press statement.
As a part of this, charging stations for electric vehicles will be set up by Majenda Company, he said. For this, the company has also started building infrastructure and spare parts required for the charging stations will be totally indigenous, the minister added.
The company’s executive director Maxon Lewis, directors Daryl Dias, Sujay Jain, Mahavir Lunawat were present on the occasion. The company claims that the charging station at Navi Mumbai is the largest in the country. There is a total of 21 chargers in this place, out of which four DC chargers have a capacity of 15 to 50 kW, while 17 AC chargers have a capacity of 3.5 to 7.5 kW, the statement added.
