Lemon juice is said to be a natural skin lightening agent, therefore making a scrub using this ingredient will help lighten and balance the pH levels of skin. Honey is a natural humectant in this scrub that will moisturise and add glow, therefore reducing signs of ageing. Oatmeal will be used as a coarse yet nourishing exfoliating agent.

DIY Scrub For Elbows & Knees

Ingredients
1 lemon
1 tbsp oatmeal
1 tbsp honey
Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Squeeze the juice of one lemon into a bowl.
  2. Add one tablespoon honey to the bowl and mix both ingredients together.
  3. Next, add one tablespoon of oatmeal, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Apply the scrub to your knees and elbows in circular motions and scrub for ten minutes.
  5. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
  6. Immediately moisturise these areas of skin with aloe vera gel or shea butter.
  7. Repeat this process three times a week to achieve amazing results.
