COVID-19 case count on May 6: Karnataka logs nearly 50,000 new cases; Mumbai sees 3,056 infections

 As the second wave of COVID-19 continues to create ripples across India, the country hit a record daily high with 4,12,262 coronavirus cases, pushing the caseload to 2,10,77,410. The COVID death toll surged to 2,30,168 as 3,980 patients succumbed due to the deadly contagious virus in the last 24 hours, the data released by the union ministry of health and family welfare stated. India’s COVID-19 recovery rate has dropped to 81.99 per cent. The data released at 8 am showed that 1,72,80,844 have recovered so far while the case fatality rate was recorded at 1.09 per cent.

Delhi records 335 COVID deaths
