Cool Jayanth, who was a famous choreographer in Tamil cinema in the 90s passed away earlier today. He has served as a dancer in Prabhudheva and Raju Sundaram master’s dance troupes before making his debut as a dance master with the 1996 film ‘Kadhal Desam’ directed by Kadir. Cool Jayanth died today (10.11.2021) at his home in West Mambalam, Chennai due to ill health.
He came to the fore in his field when he choreographed for songs ‘Mustafa’ and ‘Kallori Salai’ in AR Rahman’s music for ‘Kadhal Desam’. Producer KT Kunujom, who introduced Cool Jayanth in ‘Kadhal Desam’ posted, “Omg.. Prayers.. Very sad to hear the demise of choreographer Cool Jayanth. I remember your hard work and talent poured to ‘ kalloori salai ‘ song of my movie #Kadhaldesam when I introduced you to industry.. My heartfelt condolences… #Ripcooljayanth” (sic)

Cool Jayanth has worked as a choreographer in over 500 films so far and he has also worked in film starring Ajith and Vijay. He has worked as a choreographer not only in Tamil films but also in many Malayalam films.
