Coldplay Postpones Upcoming Shows Following Chris Martin’s Lung Infection

Washington [US]: Coldplay’s 8-show stint in Brazil has been interrupted because of Chris Martin’s “extreme lung contamination.”

Coldplay took to Twitter to announce this. “With deep remorse, we’ve been forced to put off our upcoming indicates in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo until early 2023. Due to extreme lung contamination, Chris has been placed underneath strict doctor’s orders to rest for the following three weeks,” the band wrote on Twitter.

According to Variety, on October eleven and 12, Coldplay was scheduled to perform two concert events at Estadio Nilton Santos-Engenhao in Rio de Janeiro to kick off the Latin American leg of their global tour. From October 15 thru October 22, Coldplay was scheduled to perform at the Allianz Parque Stadium in Sao Paulo.

No new dates for the live shows were announced, although the band said that the rescheduled concerts could take place in “early 2023 and will be introduced very soon.”

They further wrote, “We’re running as rapidly as possible to lock in the new dates and will observe greater statistics within the next few days. Please maintain on to your tickets as they may be legitimate for the brand new rescheduled dates…However, we will also honor all ticket refund requests – so they will be available on the factor of sale.”

They said, “We’re constructive that Chris will return to appropriate health after prescribed clinical breaks and stay up for resuming the excursion quickly.”

“To everybody affected, please be given our sincere apologies, and thank you as usual for your love and aid,” concluded the band.
