Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India]: Uttarakhand has logged 53 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the state Health bulletin said on Tuesday.As per the health bulletin, zero COVID-19 fatalities were recorded in the state. As many as 11 recoveries were also reported in the state taking total recoveries to 3,30,557. The death toll so far stood at 7,408, stated the bulletin.Total recoveries so far stood at 3,44,303.

Maharashtra mandates 7-day institutional quarantine for international passengers

New Delhi [India] : As fresh guidelines will be effective for international passengers arriving in India in view of Omicron concern from December 1, the Maharashtra government has made it mandatory a 7-day institutional quarantine for passengers coming from ‘at risk’ countries. “From December 1, arriving passengers from high-risk countries will be segregated from those arriving from low-risk countries. Adequate RT-PCR testing facility in international arrivals in form of 48 registration counters and 40 sampling booths will be set up,” Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport said in a statement. “In addition to normal RT-PCR, 30 Rapid PCR machines, are also available for the passengers having connecting onward flights with short connecting time.
