COVID-19: Rajasthan roads deserted on Sunday as state imposes curfew

No COVID-19 vaccine shortage in Maharashtra, clarifies Union Health Ministry

COVID-19: Schools in Madhya Pradesh to remain closed from Jan 15-31

India to begin administering COVID-19 vaccine ‘precaution dose’ to 60+ age group, healthcare, frontline workers from today

New Delhi [India] (ANI): The administration of ‘precaution dose’ of COVID-19 vaccine to healthcare, frontline workers and those above 60 years in the country is set to begin on Monday. The online registration for ‘precaution dose’ on the Co-WIN platform began on Friday (January 8). Maharashtra reports 44,388 new COVID-19 cases, 12 deaths

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India](ANI): As many as 44,388 new COVID-19 cases were reported in Maharashtra during the last 24 hours, as per the state health department on Sunday. The active cases currently stand at 2,02,259 in the state.During the last 24 hours, 15,351 people recovered from the infection, taking the total recoveries in the state to 65,72,432. Number of COVID-19 cases growing but no rise in casualties, says Maharashtra Health Minister

New Delhi [India]: The Income Tax Department said on Friday it has conducted raids on various premises of some foreign-controlled mobile communication and mobile handset manufacturing companies and their associated persons. The raids have been conducted on various premises in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Assam, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar, Rajasthan and Delhi NCR.“The search action has revealed that two major companies have made remittance in the nature of royalty, to and on behalf of its group companies located abroad, which aggregates to more than Rs.5500 crore. The claim of such expenses does not seem to be appropriate in light of the facts and evidence gathered during the search action,” said the Finance Ministry in a statement. Cuttack (Odisha) [India]: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated Odisha’s longest bridge over the Mahanadi river at Gopinathpur in Cuttack on Monday.According to the Odisha government, the bridge was a long-standing demand of the locals and will shorten the distance between Badamba and Baideswhar, Banki by 45 km and will connect Shinghanath Temple.
