Two arrested in Hyderabad for providing fake RT-PCR test reports, COVID vaccination certificates

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India] (ANI): Hyderabad Police arrested two people for providing fake RT-PCR COVID-19 test reports without taking swabs and vaccination certificates without administration of the physical doses.Chakravarthy Gummi, Deputy Commissioner of Police said that the arrested persons sold fake RTPCR test reports and vaccination certificates by collecting money. The two accused were arrested in two different cases under Malakpet and Humayun Nagar police stations. According to Police, one of the arrested persons, P Laxman worked at different diagnostic centres as a lab technician. About a year ago, he opened his own diagnostic centre at Asman Ghat under Malakpet police station. He tied up with MedicsPathlabs India to send his collected samples and to get test reports. Hyderabad police nabs inter-state robbery gang, arrests 3 persons

New Delhi [India] (ANI): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Avasarala Venkateswara Rao, Promoter and Managing Director of Hyderabad-based Servomax India Private Limited (SIPL) for his alleged involvement in offences of money laundering, the agency said on Tuesday.Rao was arrested on Monday under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 for the offence of money laundering and causing a loss of around Rs 402 crore to a consortium of public sector banks by indulging in various fraudulent practices. Hyderabad (Telangana) [India]: Telangana on Monday reported 12 more Omicron cases, taking the total tally of the new variant in the state to 55.As per a COVID-19 bulletin issued by the state government, of the 12 cases, 10 cases were detected during random sampling tests carried out among air passengers at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Hyderabad after they landed from countries other than those designated ‘at risk’ while two were contacts of people infected with the variant. 405 new Covid cases, three deaths in Telangana

Hyderabad, Aug 16: Telangana reported three Covid-19 deaths and 405 infections on Monday even as the number of active cases further reduced to 7,093. The death toll now stands at 3,845 and the caseload at 6,52,785. So far, a total of over 2.34 crore covid-19 tests have been conducted in the state, out of which 6,52,785 have tested positive and 6,41,847 persons have recovered. The number of active containment zones in the state also came down to 20. Karimnagar, Jagtial, Nalgonda and Yadadri Bhuvanagiri districts registered the majority of the active containment zones in the state. 569 Covid-19 new cases, four deaths in Telangana

Hyderabad, Aug 5: Telangana reported 569 new Covid-19 cases and four deaths on Saturday even as the number of active cases in the state stood at 8,582.The total count of cases since the beginning of the pandemic last year stands at 6,48,957 and the death toll stands at 3,823, according to a bulletin issued by the Director of Public health on the status of Covid cases this evening.A total of 657 patients were declared recovered from the virus on Friday, taking the total count of recovered patients to 6,36,552.The overall recovery rate in the state is 98.8 percent against 97.34 per cent at national level.Similarly, the case fatality rate (CFR) in the state stands at 0.58 percent against the national average of 1.3 per cent.On Saturday, 1,05,201 samples were tested for the novel coronavirus and with this, Telangana has now completed testing 2.27 crore…

Government sets up two more labs in Hyderabad, Pune for Covid vaccine testing

Two more Central Drug Laboratories have been readied at Pune and Hyderabad for Covid vaccine testing, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, and considering the enhanced production of Covid vaccines, the government said on Sunday. According to a Science & Technology Ministry statement, the facility at the National Centre for Cell Science, Pune, has now been notified as a Central Drugs Laboratory for testing and lot release of Covid-19 vaccines, through a gazette notification issued by the Health & Family Welfare Ministry on June 28. Hyderabad-based Indian Immunological Limited to produce 10-15 million vaccine doses monthly

In order to ramp up vaccine production as the country battles the second wave of coronavirus, the Centre has decided to support some PSU companies with grants under ‘Mission COVID Suraksha’. Under this move, one such company is Hyderabad-based Indian Immunological Limited (IIL), which is expected to produce nearly 10-15 million vaccine doses monthly. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said that more than 22.46 crore vaccine doses have been provided to the states and union territories, and 1.84 crore doses are still available with the states/UTs to be administered while 3,20,380 vaccine doses are in the pipeline and will be received by the states/UTs within the next few days.
