Ann Augustine is all set to make her re-entry into the movie industry after an interval of four years. The State award-winning actress’ second innings in cinema is going to be more glorious as she will be stepping foot into showbiz, not only as an actor but also as a producer! Ann Augustine recently took to her social media handle to officially announce her debut as a producer and also confirmed that she will be returning to her ‘roots’, the silver screen.
“On the cusp of a new journey as Miramar Films and I take our first steps into producing feature films and I return to my roots and familiar places as an actor (sic),” Ann Augustine shared. Ann Augustine is the daughter of the late veteran actor Augustine. She ventured into showbiz with Lal Jose’s 2010 release ‘Elsamma Enna Aankutty’. She grabbed eyeballs after appearing in the 2013 film ‘Artist’. Ann Augustine and Fahadh Faasil played the lead roles in the film and she bagged the Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance.
The actress tied the knot with cinematographer Jomon T John in 2014 and later appeared in two movies – ‘Nee Na’ and ‘Solo’. Ann Augustine hasn’t signed projects after 2017 and the cinephiles were eagerly waiting for her comeback. Recently the actress was in news reportedly for her divorce from Jomon T John.
