The much-awaited film ‘Bell Bottom’ starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role has finally hit the theatres today. While we are yet to see the audience’s reaction to the film, talks of a possible sequel to the movie have already begun!
Talking to a news portal at the post-screening press conference of the movie, Akshay revealed that the way the film ends, there is definitely scope for a sequel. The actor also added that if the makers come up with a good script, things could indeed work out.
Spilling some beans on why the makers of the film are releasing the film on the Raksha Bandhan weekend instead of Independence Day weekend, Akshay reportedly added that it was the call of the makers and he is going according to what they want. According to him, producers like Vashu Bhagnani are seasoned people and they know better.
The producers of ‘Bell Bottom’, Vashu Bhagnani and his kids, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh, held a special screening of the movie at Surat for the media, after which a con call was held to address the press contingent, with lead star Akshay Kumar also joining in all the way from London.
‘Bell Bottom’ was supposed to release earlier but it got stalled due to the ongoing pandemic. This is the first film that will be hitting the theatres amid the second wave. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the movie also stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara dutta and Huma Qureshi in lead roles.
