The release date of actor Prabhas’s much-anticipated pan-India movie ‘Adipurush’ was announced on Monday, September 27. Starring actors Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan in the lead, ‘Adipurush’ is set to hit the big screens on August 11, 2022.
‘Adipurush’ will now clash with Akshay Kumar’s ‘Raksha Bandhan’ at the box office. ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is also releasing on August 13. So, Independence Day 2022 will see two stars fighting for the audience’s attention at the box office. Directed by Aanand L Rai, the Hindi film features Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead roles. It was originally slated to hit the silver screens on November 5, 2021; however, the makers postponed the release due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Movie buffs were quite excited after the producers announced that the cop drama will arrive in the cinema halls on August 11, 2022.
Prabhas’s fans are waiting eagerly for the release of ‘Adipurush,’ a magnum opus based on the epic Ramayana. Made on a budget of Rs. 500 crore, ‘Adipurush’ is bankrolled by T-Series Films in collaboration with Retrophiles. The film’s technical crew includes Sachet–Parampara for music, Kharthik Palani for camera work and Apurva Motiwale and Ashish Mhatre for editing. Being a high-budget film and a historical, plans are on to release it in various languages including Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
