Ranchi, Jul 9: In a major respite for the state which is reeling with the shortage of vaccines in the battle against Coronavirus on Friday 2.50 lakh doses of Covaxin were received.
Out of these one lakh, vaccines were immediately distributed among the 24 districts of the state with Ranchi being provided with a maximum of 8600 doses of vaccine and the remaining districts were also given the vaccines so that people could get the second dose of the vaccine.
The concerned officials in the districts have been also directed to accord priority to those people who need the second dose of the vaccine. The state is also expected to get more doses of Covishield this month.
After Ranchi, Dhanbad has been given 8300 doses, Giridih 7700, Bokaro and East Singhbhum 6400 each, Palamu 5900, Hazaribagh 5200 etc.
